Calling a Tail a Leg

Abe Lincoln had a little riddle he liked to pull on people. It went:

"If you call a tail a leg, how many legs does a dog have?"

"Wrong! Calling a tail a leg doesn't make it a leg."

To which I'll add, "...even if you put a shoe and sock on it."

Anyhow, I've been waiting for the perfect thing to link to about Bruce Jenner, and I believe I've found it over at Just Not Said.  If he's embarrassed, just imagine how I feel having to partially reprint comments from his blog which are still better even than my posts here that they're not commenting on. Whew.  Anyhow, I do think this is the definitive response:

Remnant, on Jenner

It's a little embarrassing, but Remnant, Gardner, and a few others sometimes write comments on this blog which are far better than the posts they're commenting on. In any case, Remnant has put a lot more thought into the whole Bruce Jenner situation and what it means for society than I have. Here are his thoughts:

I’ve been meaning to comment on the Bruce Jenner thing, but any thoughts I formulate in my head seem to me so obvious as to not bear mentioning. Then I realized that this is really the point of this Orwellian farce: the SJWs, media and entertainment industries that are foisting this upon us are relying on that reluctance to point out the obvious in order to shift the public consciousness on the issue.

  1. I do not know if Jenner is acting out his insanity or doing what he has to t protect his sanity. And please don't tell me how courageous he is to take an action people have been taking since the early Fifties. If you want to see examples of courage look at the one's listed by Heinlein in hs comments on Rodin's "Fallen Caryatid": "She didn't give up, Ben; she's still trying to lift that stone after it has crushed her. She's a father going down to a dull office job while cancer is painfully eating away his insides, so as to bring home one more pay check for the kids. She's a twelve-year old girl trying to mother her baby brothers and sisters because Mama had to go to Heaven. She's a switchboard operator sticking to her job while smoke is choking her and the fire is cutting off her escape. She's all the unsung heroes who couldn't quite cut it but never quit. . . "
I will grant that waiting until his last child reached adulthood to take this action was brave, an act of selfsacrifice.

  2. Bruce Jenner - or as Don Sterling calls him "That really hot chick on the cover of Vanity Fair."

    Seriously - look at Sterling's ex-girlfriend, V. Stiviano.

  3. @Albert Perez - you were on fire until your last sentence. Then you negated everything you wrote above. First, there is no magical date in the calendar of ones life when seeing your dad lop off his genitalia stops being harmful. Even more harmful surely are the myriad other symptoms of insanity obvious to this madman's children but unknown to the general public via the media. Because a madman is what Jenner surely is. No sane man lops off his penis and pumps himself full of female hormones. Jenner is barking mad.

And as the OP notes, the purpose of broadcasting this to the public is to compel us to live with a lie. It is no different from "gay marriage," "blank slate," "racial equality," and burying the truth about Bantu crime. The more small lies we are forced to accept and repeat, the weaker we become. Eventually we are unable to resist anything at all. The puppetmasters will be able to tell us to turn in our guns and escort all white men to the "processing centers." A glorious future awaits..
