No Clever Title for Neale Osborn's Rant This Week

This week, Mama Liberty of course, and then Neale reminds us that while it's wonderful that Obama lost the election, it's a shame that the Republicans won.  And then some info on the sexual proclivities of the Taliban, which is interestingly known in Afghanistan for prohibiting things even worse than what it indulges in itself. Let this remind us that different people are indeed different, and if you don't want an increase obnoxious sexual practices in this country, you should deny entry to ethnic groups that revel in them.  And good news from Alabama. Then some stuff about Moms (Bloombergs) demanding action, and some good quotes.
The illustration is a girl named "Canaan," and I don't have time right now to figure out what anime she's from.

Neale's Gun Rant for 11-9-2014

Attribute to L. Neil Smith's The Libertarian Enterprise

As you all know, I always start off with Mama Liberty. This week, she discusses health, lead, and shooting. [Link] It's pretty damned important, people. It's not just eco-freak BS, at least at the range (indoor more than outdoor). But since this is being printed in TLE, you'll have to either follow the link or scroll up on the front page of TLE to read anything from the article.

* * *
As always, Y'all know what to do next.
I suppose I must address the recent elections. Obama got his ass kicked, and the Republican leadership won't realize they can actually totally de-fund Obamacare, thus killing it until they have the White house. Other than that, it was just another round of choosing which side of the "Boot-On-Your-Neck Party" coin was going to have control—neither will have it all. And I guess that's as good as it can get these days....
I really wish I had a way to prove this story is totally true.... [Link] It's just too damn funny-sheesh AND funny-HaHa! Y'all MIGHT want to skip this part if you get squeamish...
This happened in Afghanistan and was reported by an Afghan News Source (Khaama Press):
A group of Taliban militants were captured by local residents in northeastern Badakhshan province while they were having sex with a cow.
According to local security officials, the militants were caught by villagers of Farghmanj in Jorm district on Monday.
The officials furhter [sic] added that the militants were initially disarmed by villagers and were then beaten.
Deputy provincial governor Gul Mohammad Bidar said they are aware of the incident involving a number of Taliban militants sexually abusing cows.
What did that paragon of virtue, Ayatollah Khomeini have to say about bestiality?
The beloved Ayatollah Khomeini said:
"A man can have sex with animals such as sheep, cows, camels and so on. However he should kill the animal after he has his orgasm. He should not sell the meat to the people in his own village, however selling the meat to the next door village should be fine." —From Khomeini's book, Tahrir al-Vasyleh, fourth volume, Darol Elm, Gom, Iran, 1990
Source: The Muslim Issue
Evidently selling the meat of a raped cow is not "halal" if you are dealing with your neighbors. But as for the people in the next town... What they don't know won't hurt them.
That explains a lot.... I can't help it—I just keep seeing this in my minds eye! "Hey there Bossy, You're looking pretty good today!" "Mooo?" And Bossy running like hell for a safe place to get away from Abdullah and Mohammed.
Sweet home Alabama, Where the laws are so true.... (apologies to Lynyrd Skynner) I do SOO wish Alabama wasn't so damn hot and humid, I'd move there. One un(der)reported vote on Tuesday took place there. Actually, TWO did. [Link] Gotta love the liberal angst in the wording of this article. It's just GREAT!
Alabama voters acted irresponsibly on many fronts. Not only did they vote straight GOP virtually across the board, but they made gun ownership a human right.
By an overwhelming vote of 73 to 27 percent, voters passed a constitutional amendment that places weapons above human life, making the ownership of firearms a fundamental human right in the state. Any legislation aimed at the safety of the population will not be subject to intense scrutiny—and, frighteningly, Amendment 3 may now be used to dismantle existing limits on the possession of weapons.
The amendment reads:
(a) Every citizen has a fundamental right to bear arms in defense of himself or herself and the state. Any restriction on this right shall be subject to strict scrutiny.
(b) No citizen shall be compelled by any international treaty or international law to take an action that prohibits, limits, or otherwise interferes with his or her fundamental right to keep and bear arms in defense of himself or herself and the state, if such treaty or law, or its adoption, violates the United States Constitution.
Citizens also voted to explicitly ban Sharia law in the state's constitution, leading one to wonder if something horrible is being pumped into the water supply in Alabama.
The classification of guns as a "human right" is truly perplexing, given their propensity to interfere with life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness simultaneously.
Ummmm, it IS a human, civil, AND Constitutional right to own, possess, and carry, anywhere, any time, without permission (except from the owner of private property) any weapons—handgun, rifle, shotgun, machinegun, sword, whatever. Being DENIED the Right to Keep and Bear Arms is the surest, swiftest path to servitude and tyranny there is. Whether it is the tyranny of a rapist, a mugger, a murderer, or an oppressive government that has stopped listening to the People.
We've discussed "SWAT-ting" before, and here's a fairly comprehensive article detailing how it's been used, often with tragic consequences. [Link] For instance, as we reported a few weeks ago, SWAT-ting was responsible for the death of a black man, John Crawford III, was gunned down without warning AND a bystander lost her life to a heart attack due to a SWAT-ting call over a man buying a BB gun in a Wal-Mart.
Fairfax, Virginia, resident and open-carry advocate Robert Dickens heard the police siren and saw the lights, so he very carefully stopped his motorcycle, locked his hands on his head and calmly waited for instructions.
He said yes when an officer asked if he could remove a handgun from a holster Dickens was wearing. He gave the same answer when the officer asked to take temporary custody of a pocketknife he had in his pocket.
In the end, he's thankful he's still alive after an up-close and personal encounter with "swatting,' the practice of making a false report of an on-going critical incident to prompt an emergency response.
"Wow, I could have been killed!" he wrote in a report on the Bearing Arms website of an October incident in which officers from many police units suddenly pulled up around him while he was riding his motorcycle home from a couple of errands.
It ALSO doesn't help that Moms Demand Action have openly advocated SWAT-ting any open carry person they encounter, not caring about the death toll (typical of liberals and other anti-gunners, they claim to want to save lives, but they don't give a fuck about OUR lives)
The Bearing Arms website said the activity is "a favored tactic" of gun-control supporters.
For example, from the Facebook page of Moms Demand Action, a group that tries to push retailers into public statements of opposition to guns, a Jennifer Decker wrote, "Every time I see someone with a gun in a store I will call 911 ... because I feel threatened, they'll get tired of that right quick!!!"
Added Alan Crammatte, "Call the police and say you feel threatened by a man with a gun."
So sweet of these loving mothers, don'tcha think?
Sorry it's so short this week, but I had a lot to do around the farm!
Of course, I didn't forget the quotes of the week!
"Armed people are free. No state can control those who have the machinery and the will to resist, no mob can take their liberty and property. And no 220 pound thug can threaten the well-being or dignity of a 110 pound woman who has two pounds of iron to even things out. Is that evil? Is that wrong?" L. Neil Smith, in the novel The Probability Broach
"I've heard that phallic symbol argument before, and always from ineffectual people driven to make everyone else as helpless as they are. Who's more confused, those who think weapons are sexual organs, or those who want to take everyone's sexual organs away?." same as the last one
"An armed man is a citizen, an un-armed man is a slave" (Sometimes ended as "subject") Robert A. Heinlein
Thus endeth the Lesson.
