SPLC SMEARS LATINA WOMAN!

I've blogged about the Southern Poverty Law Center ($PLC) before, HERE and HERE and HERE and HERE. Essentially a money-raising scam cum left-wing hate group. Now they've decided that the Governor of New Mexico, who is Latina, is a hypocrite because although descended from illegal immigrants, she's not in favor of more illegal immigration.  You know, if your grandfather was a bootlegger, and you're a teetotaler, you're a hypocrite.

The left has an extra-big hate on for people like Governor Martinez, because they refuse to fit the zany notion that any and all Hispanics are in favor of illegal immigration.  Many, if not most, oppose the entry of illegals with the same fervor that rednecks like me do.  In many cases, given that they're in a better position,  literally and figuratively, to know the effects illegals have, they oppose it much more than your traditional Anglos do.  And interesting contrast here, between the basic redneck Rick Perry who wants to welcome more illegals, and the Latina Martinez who doesn't.  Worth thinking about.  And writing about.  Russell Contreras has done so HERE.
