The Liberal Media

Cartoon by BALOO
I have problems with most of the Republican candidates.  I could criticize all of them, including Ron Paul, for hours.  And I wouldn't have to make anything up or distort anything.  I find just about all of them vaguely preferable to Obama, of course, or any other likely Democratic candidate, for the simple reason that they have to at least say some sensible things to appeal to Republican voters, who are on the whole a sensible bunch of people with the proper values.  But liberals can't seem to find anything real to criticize them about, and have to make things up instead.  To some extent, this is just the manifestation of the general liberal tendency to ignore reality and use imagination instead of facts no matter what they're talking about.  Another factor is that they hate anybody who opposes Obama so much that they're not satisfied with criticizing them, but feel that they have to destroy them for their blasphemy.  I've heard them attack Rick Perry, who is clearly a moderate-to-liberal Republican, as some kind of throwback to the Confederacy.  Michelle Bachmann is commonly referred to as "crazy" for no discernible reason.  Ron Paul has always been called "crazy" because he thinks government is already as big and authoritarian as it ought to be, and should shrink a little rather than grow some more.

Scott Adams, who is neither conservative nor liberal, but sui generis, has noticed this tendency on the part of the liberal media, and comments on it HERE.
