White Nationalism

The American Thinker blog is often a worthwhile read, and I go there occasionally to get their take on things. Indeed, I go to just about any blog that describes itself as libertarian or conservative, because there's some good thinking going on in both movements. But like so many other conservative groups, American Thinker has a blind spot or two. Most significantly, it has an aversion towards White nationalism. Now, the lefties are fond of adhering to the principle, usually unstated of "pas d'ennemi a gauche," (no enemies on the left) which describes the behavior of the left perfectly, all the way from the most moderate Democrat to the most fire-breathing Marxist. It means, of course, that the enemy is the right, anybody who isn't on the left, and that they will cooperate with anybody on the left, all the way to Pol Pot, and consider them allies in their war against civilization and decency. Those of us on the right are stupid that way. We're quick to denounce anybody on the right of us, thereby ensuring a leftist victory. A good recent example is McCain's idiotic campaign, where he was quick to refuse support from anybody who didn't have sufficient respect for Obama, lest he be somehow connected to White racism. Of course, he was connected to White racism by the media anyway, and lost an election that he could easily have won. Now, some of us on the right aren't White nationalists, but the White nationalists are nevertheless allies in the war with the left, and it doesn't make moral or strategic sense to reject them. If we think they go to far, welcome them in and appreciate their support, and try, by persuasion and example, to get them to adopt our own thinking. Rejecting them makes victory impossible. So, I'm a paleoconservative, and I say "pas d'ennemi a droite," everybody to the right of me is an ally of mine, and I welcome their help to slay the dragon of the left, which, if you hadn't noticed, is in the driver's seat right now, and it's kind of stupid for us to be denouncing each other while Obama and his pals work on the neoGulag. Maybe it started when the 'good' Republicans piled on Joe McCarthy, I don't know, but it's got to stop. Anyhow, the current style on the right is to express disgust at practically everybody else on the right, and echo leftist cries of 'extremism' against such moderate types as Pat Buchanan and Glenn Beck, never mind David Duke et al. This has to stop if we're going to get anywhere, people. I have my differences with some on the right, just as Patton had his differences with Montgomery, but he didn't ignore the Wehrmacht and the Waffen SS and start lobbing shells at the Brits.
A recent American Thinker article started out okay, pointing out the nastiness of left-wing racial identity groups and how they're completely unAmerican is style and substance, and then it spoils it all by equating White identity groups with them. Again, rejecting the very allies we need in a paroxysm of political correctness. And if we've learned nothing else, we've learned that political correctness makes you stupid. An analysis and rebuttal of the article HERE.
